SPORT
The PE department at Aloha College Marbella offers a balanced and diverse range of physical activities, with increasing participation and co-curricular involvement each year. Our core and IGCSE programmes consistently achieve excellent results, pushing students in all areas of physical activity and personal fitness. We provide twelve distinct core activities, ensuring a broad curriculum to inspire and engage students.
Aloha College Marbella students compete successfully against schools along the Costa del Sol. We have been the reigning Athletics and Cross Country champions for the last four years and have also achieved notable victories in Basketball, Football, and Volleyball.
We are very proud of our achievements but we place student engagement and participation above all and look forward to raising the bar every year.
Aloha College Football Club (ACFC) is part of our school DNA. More than 100 boys and girls participate every week in training and league matches under the command of Alejandro Ávila Esteban, head coach and legend of Marbella FC, where he played 432 games.
With 10 teams in the running differentiated by age groups, the Aloha College football teams are a benchmark at the local level.
Our football pitch is, without a doubt, the best in Marbella for youth categories. It has a stand that occupies the entire side of the field, in addition to having a spectacular view of La Concha mountain.
In recent years, ACFC's youth squads produced top-level footballers such as Bernardo Espinosa, Dean Huijsen or the young Sofia Elgaily, who has received a sports scholarship to study in the United States.
Aloha College Basketball Club (ACBC) is part of our school DNA. Around 60 boys and girls participate every week in training and league games under the direction of Rubén Wolkowyski, head coach and former player of the Argentina national team, Seattle Supersonics and Boston Celtics among others.
With several teams differentiated by age groups, the Aloha College basketball teams are a benchmark at the local level.
Our sports and cultural hall, with 2000 square meters of multi-sports courts, is one of the best facilities in Marbella to accommodate junior categories.
ACBC provides a fantastic platform for developing skills and the club ethos
encourages our students to improve in their intercommunication and team work.
