Thank you for choosing Aloha College Marbella, the Leading International School in Spain

Whether you are living locally or thinking of relocating to the area, choosing the right school is a personal decision that one does not take lightly. As a mum of two, having lived in 4 different countries before relocating to the Costa del Sol, I understand how important it is to find the school where our children will thrive in a happy environment. I will endeavour to make the admissions process smooth while allowing you to gain a real insight into our school.

How to apply

The admissions process is designed to ensure that students who join Aloha College Marbella will thrive academically, socially and emotionally. Through the holistic and rigorous process, we ensure a personalised approach and we will endeavour to assist and guide the applicants and families. We will only offer places when we are sure that Aloha College Marbella is the right environment for the child to flourish and succeed.  An honest and open dialogue with the family is always the first step of the process.

Admissions are on a rolling basis as long as there are places available. The enrollment period starts in October, approximately 10 months prior to the start of a new academic year. It is advised to start the application early, especially in year groups where there are limited places available. Most students will join in September but we will consider applications for entry at different times of the academic year as long as we are confident that students will adapt smoothly and can access the curriculum. Late entry to the upper years of Secondary (Year 10 to Year 12) happens only in exceptional circumstances.

Students applying to join the school from Year 1 to Year 12 need to have an age appropriate level of English that allows them to access the curriculum without additional support. Non native English speakers who apply, will be required to send proof of their level of English as part of their application.

School tours are offered once the application is accepted. The application will be reviewed after the enquiry form and the required documentation have been submitted. Due to the high number of applicants, visits on short notice are not always possible. There are certain periods during the year when the admissions process might take a bit longer. In order to avoid delays, early applications before the month of March are highly advised. If you are abroad and planning to visit Marbella, please contact us several weeks in advance so that we can arrange an appointment.

To get started:
1.- Register your interest through our enquiry form. We will then send you the relevant information about the school that will allow you to decide whether you would like to continue with the application process.
2.- Complete the application by sending the required documentation for us to review. Once received we will let you know if there are places available.
3.- We will invite you for a visit or virtual meeting. This first meeting will give you further insight into the school life and it will allow us to tailor the admissions process to your particular needs, whether you are in Spain or abroad.
4.- All applicants to Year 3 and above will be required to sit a placement test.
5.- References will be requested from the applicant’s current school.
6.- Upon successful completion of the test, applicants will be invited to an informal meeting with the Head of Key Stage which we call an “interview”.
7.- A place will be offered to the successful applicants. If no place is available, a place or on the waiting list will be offered.
