The PE department at Aloha College Marbella strives to create a balanced, broad and wide range of physical experiences for all our students. PE at ACM each year goes from strength to strength with all time high participation rates and co-curricular involvement. Our core and IGCSE programme continue to produce excellent results as we look to push ourselves in all areas of physical activity and personal fitness. We offered a total of twelve contrasting core activities allowing our students to experience breadth in the curriculum to hopefully inspire and engage.

Aloha College Marbella students are also afforded the opportunity to compete against schools along the Costa del Sol in a variety of different events with huge amounts of success. We are proud to say that Aloha College have been reigning Athletics and Cross Country champions for the last four years in each and with Basketball, Football and Volleyball all achieving notable victories in recent years.

Each October half term, we take three teams of senior students to compete in Football 7s at the Mediterranean Cup in Verona, Italy, where we get to play against teams from all over Europe, the Middle East and North Africa in which we have won the U16 category three years in a row.

We are very proud of our achievements but most of all we place student engagement and participation above all and look forward to raising the bar every year.

Aloha College Football Club (ACFC) is part of our school DNA. More than 100 boys and girls participate every week in training and league matches under the command of Alejandro Ávila Esteban, head coach and legend of Marbella FC, where he played 432 games.

With 10 teams in the running differentiated by age groups, the Aloha College football teams are a benchmark at the local level.

Our football pitch is, without a doubt, the best in Marbella for youth categories. It has a stand that occupies the entire side of the field, in addition to having a spectacular view of La Concha mountain.

In recent years, ACFC's youth squads produced top-level footballers such as Bernardo Espinosa, Dean Huijsen or the young Sofia Elgaily, who has received a sports scholarship to study in the United States.

Aloha College Basketball Club (ACBC) is part of our school DNA. Around 60 boys and girls participate every week in training and league games under the direction of Rubén Wolkowyski, head coach and former player of the Argentina national team, Seattle Supersonics and Boston Celtics among others.

With several teams differentiated by age groups, the Aloha College basketball teams are a benchmark at the local level.

Our sports and cultural hall, with 2000 square meters of multi-sports courts, is one of the best facilities in Marbella to accommodate junior categories.

ACBC provides a fantastic platform for developing skills and the club ethos
encourages our students to improve in their intercommunication and team work.

Cross Country

Cartama Trips to enjoy Cricket have become one of our favourites!

Students and teachers have shown interest and enthusiasm in cricket over the past few years.

As part of our enrichment activities program, several year groups enjoyed days out in sunny Cartama as part of the Cricket’s Cool project, run simultaneously with the European Championships held there.

They had coaching in the skills of the game from qualified cricket coaches, met international players and watched some professional matches.

They even got themselves broadcast live on TV more than once! Fantastic memories enjoyed by all.

Trips to Cártama to enjoy cricket began in 2022. We have been able to verify that our students love this sport while they receive basic classes, learn the rules, and meet professional players in person.

We’ve also incorporated cricket into our co-curricular activities program…it looks like cricket is here to stay!
