What do we offer with the IB Diploma Programme?
The International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) is a two-year educational programme for students aged 16-19. It is one of four educational programmes offered by the IB.
The IB DP is a challenging and comprehensive programme that seeks to develop intellectual, personal and social skills in students to prepare them for university and their future career. The programme focuses on the development of critical thinking, research, communication, and the ability to solve complex problems.
Academic structure and approach
The IB DP consists of six subjects studied over two years, including a language and literature subject, an additional language, experimental sciences, mathematics, social studies and an optional subject. In addition, students must complete three core components of the programme: Theory of Knowledge, Creativity, Action and Service (CAS) and Diploma work.
The IB DP has an international focus and fosters respect for other cultures and an understanding of diversity. We encourage IB DP students to be critical and reflective thinkers, and we hope they will become responsible global citizens. The programme is recognised by universities and employers around the world as a sign of academic excellence and social commitment.
Internationally recognised qualification
Students who successfully complete the International Baccalaureate Marbella (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) receive an International Baccalaureate diploma. This diploma is an internationally recognised qualification and is highly valued by universities and higher education centres.
Training in several languages
Most of the subjects we teach in the IB Diploma Programme are in English, but without overlooking the study of Spanish culture and language. This allows students to finish their schooling being fully bilingual.
Students can also study other languages at school, such as French, German and Mandarin Chinese. We prepare non-native students to attain Cambridge exams with the best marks. We also offer the official Cervantes Institute exam for a Spanish as a Second Language qualification.

During the International Baccalaureate Marbella Diploma Programme, students make use of the multi-sports courts, participate in artistic activities, get fit in the outdoor gym and take part in the various events that are organised throughout the educational cycle.
The classrooms have state of the art educational equipment, we have specialised libraries for primary and secondary schools, seven laboratories and a multitude of green and recreational spaces.
