Y8 Trip to Selwo Safari Park

The Year 8 students had the excellent opportunity to gain a clearer understanding on how a variety of animals adapt to survive in their habitat on their excursion to the Selwo Safari Park. The day was packed with a guided tour of the park while we heard explanations on the backgrounds of the animals seen, a talk on conservation and intervention projects, a jeep safari trip to view and feed the African animals of the Serengeti and a fascinating bird of prey show. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the day and came away with a clearer understanding of ecology, conservation and animal interdependence and adaptation.
