On Wednesday 8 March the Under 15 Boys and Girls football teams went to compete in the second International Schools football tournament at Algeciras football club. In the first tournament in November both teams had played well with the girls just losing the final on penalties and the boys finishing in third place.
This time round saw more success for the Aloha teams. Both girls and boys teams qualified through their groups to play against Sotogrande in the semi-finals. The boys played with great courage against a much bigger team and did tremendously well to win 1-0 to go through to the final. The girls also battled hard but were unlucky to let in a last-minute goal to lose 1-0.
This set up a third place play off which the girls won by beating EIC.
The boys also played EIC in the final and a very close game ended 0-0. The match was decided on penalties and the Aloha Boys held their nerve to score all their penalties and be crowned champions. Well done to all involved!
