On Wednesday 25th October, Aloha’s U15 basketball teams went to Atalaya for another tournament. Hopes were high as the students had trained hard.
The boys managed to win both qualifying games by 14-3 v Swans and 24-6 v BIC respectively.
The girls also went through to the semi-finals unbeaten, coming back from 4-0 down at half time to 6-4 v BIC in a very tight game. They then went on to beat Swans more comfortably, 12-2 in their next game.
We wish to congratulate all students who, yet again, showed a fantastic team spirit. A special mention needs to go to Cian Spearing who captained the boys’ team and led by example during preparation and the actual event. Most notable for the girls was the development of a young Florence Sargent, whose passing, dribbling skills and positive play made the difference in so many of the matches.
A huge well done from a very proud team PE.
