As part of our Competitive Sports Programme this year, Aloha pupils competed last Saturday in the First Interschool Tennis Competition.

This half-term all Junior School parents have been able to meet with their child’s teacher to discuss their progress.

The Music Department ran a vocal workshop on 11 October with Mrs Daphne Sumbler, a vocal coach from the UK, hosting the event – her second visit to Aloha College.

In these few short weeks, pupils have already enjoyed several trips out to explore areas of interest not far from school:

Year 4 children have again been sightseeing in the historical town of Ronda, as curriculum reinforcement for their “Sociales”.

On 7 October, Year 5 pupils took a trip to Málaga, the capital of our region. They visited the city’s most interesting monuments – the Fortress, the Cathedral and the Castle, and a very enjoyable time was had by both students and teachers.

Year 5 VJL recreated the Ancient Greek myth of King Midas, the greedy king who wanted to be the most powerful King in the land

The children in class 4LB delivered a lovely assembly based on the theme of ‘Helping Others.’

On 17 September, Year 13 students went on a school trip to Tarifa as part of their IB Diploma CAS programme.

On 16 October Aloha College pupils will be taking part in a tennis competition for schools at the Hotel Puente Romano in Marbella, in 5 different categories from under 10’s to under 18’s. This week we are holding trials in order to choose the teams who will represent us at the event.
