This April, six of our best mathematicians from Year 7 to 9 were taken to the 7th ISMTF Middle School Competition that took place in Basel, Switzerland. These promising students were Eugenio Lopez Herrera, Javier Carmona Ripoll, Jaime de la Haba Gordo, Artem Shigaev, Jaime Novella Gómez and Roberto Holmes and they were accompanied by Ms. Paula Sapone. Both teams very much enjoyed the competition and came home full of good spirit, enthusiasm and friendship. They challenged themselves, experienced new cultures and activities, made new friends and expanded their horizons. One of our Middle School teams managed to beat 14 other teams including those from Madrid and Bilbao! Well done to all the students who took part. I hope they continue to love Maths and train for future competitions so that they can keep participating in these unforgettable and enriching experiences.
In the Spring term, Year 6 went on an educational residential trip to Doñana National Park, situated in Huelva. Our tour guides and monitors were first class and made the trip so incredibly interesting for all children who took part.
