Trip to Marbella Theatre Years 1 – 2
Years 1 and 2 made a special trip to the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella on 14 January, invited by the Marbella Town Hall, to see “Puss in Boots”.
Cambridge YLE Certificate
Aloha Senior School pupils are well used to the University of Cambridge ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) examinations. Now Junior School pupils whose first language is not English have a chance to work for a qualification from this prestigious organisation.
IB Visit Creative Arts London – 16 December 10
The Creative Arts department have recently returned from a successful education visit to London. Twenty two IB students from both Visual Arts and Theatre joined members of staff for a five day cultural tour of the city. London was the perfect choice of location as it gave our students a valuable array of experiences and an ideal opportunity to enrich their understanding of their subject areas. Art visited a vast array of galleries including the Tate modern and Saatchi, and the Theatre students enjoyed a range of experiences that included live theatre, backstage tours and studio workshops. Other highlights included the London Eye, a live comedy show and the West End production of Oliver. Some students also had the opportunity to look at university courses.
KS2 Xmas Concert
Key Stage 2 delighted audiences with a classical carol concert, performing traditional songs, poems and readings in English, Spanish and even a touch of Latin.
Christmas Concert Foundation Stage
his year Foundation stage children performed “Christmas around the World”. Nursery depicted The Nativity scene beautifully with Mary and Joseph in the stable with baby Jesus being visited by the Three Kings and Shepherds.
Concert Senior School – 16 December at 7.30pm
The concert will be a celebration of the musical talent at Aloha, including items from the choir, all Year 7 students, the School Band, a Year 8 Percussion Group and various soloists.

KS1 Christmas Concert
Key Stage 1 performed an enchanting nativity called ´´Cock – a –Doodle Christmas!´
Friendly basketball match
Last Friday our young basketball teams played several matches against Salliver School in Fuengirola. The actual result wasn’t the most important aspect, as these were the first “friendlies” played between our two schools.
St George’s School visit Aloha
On 18 November we were visited by Year 3 of St George’s School in Cortijo Blanco, San Pedro de Alcántara.
Spanish Assembly Year 3 and 4
Years 3 and 4 gave an assembly specially for the little ones, with songs and poems which they knew this young audience would enjoy.
