This week we were honoured to have guest speaker Dani García visit the school. In an inspiring and thought provoking presentation, he explained to Years 9, 10 and 12 the importance of hard work alongside talent.
The renowned chef and creator of restaurants Arcadia, Bibo and Lobito de Mar explained to pupils how, without hard work, talent alone is not much use. His personal outlook is one that fits with our philosophy “Be The Best”. In order to so, he explained, we must work hard.
He also reinforced the message that failure is an important process to experience if one is to achieve great success. The students were clearly engaged with the talk and we hope that they have taken Dani García’s advice on board: work hard, be humble and (most of all) be happy!
