Our school production this year saw a change from our usual Broadway style musical, with Charles Dickens´ classic tale, Great Expectations, brought to the stage. Our theatre was transformed into an intimate, intense space, as rapt audiences experienced an excellent dramatic production. Our cast of eleven talented actors achieved a staggering level of professionalism and wowed with their powerful acting performances. The tale of the poor blacksmith’s boy, whose miserable childhood is transformed by a chance encounter with an escaped convict on the marshes, was told with an eerie twist which will linger in the minds of all those lucky enough to see it.
