Our Year 10 Physics, Chemistry and Biology students had an amazing visit to the science museum, Principia in Malaga last Friday 7th October.
Students engaged in a wide variety of activities, tasks and challenges. They had an electrifying experience in the Faraday’s cage and some demonstrated enough Chemistry between them to light up a bulb! Students could not believe their eyes on the demonstrations involving acids, bases and indicators; they thought it was magic but the real explanation was in science at work! They had an opportunity to explore a variety of interactive, hands on science apparatus to model or explain phenomena. Finally, students were fascinated by their visit to the planetarium where they were exposed to a reproduction of the stars and their constellations in the night sky of the southern hemisphere.
