Our Year 12 Geographers were given the unique opportunity to undertake research fieldwork during a trip to the Dunas de Artola, Cabopino on Wednesday 3rd May. The students explored the sand dunes and the surrounding area, taking note of the way in which the area is both enjoyed and managed. The students collected a series of measurements within the dune ecosystem to analyse the changes of vegetation, microclimate and soils and also studied the various human interactions taking place and their impact upon it. As always, the students were true ambassadors for the school and really benefited from being able to see and experience Geography in action.
