At Aloha College Marbella we celebrate BE KIND WEEK every year, in conjunction with anti-bullying week.
This year, more than ever, we have witnessed the positive power that societies can generate when people pull together. Anti-bullying week encapsulates this. Working together as a college community, we can raise awareness of anti-bullying, and continue to promote our core values of Respect, Effort, Care, Honesty, and Resilience, with a generous sprinkling of Kindness for good measure.
Anti-Bullying Week 2020 is happening from Monday 16 – Friday 20 November and has the theme ‘United Against Bullying’. Starting from our zero tolerance of bullying in school, we regard kindness as a vital part of our everyday lives as children and adults.
Be Kind Week/Anti-Bullying week involves the whole College Community. Students and staff from both Primary and Secondary Sections will kick-start the week by wearing odd socks on Monday 16 November. The message of Odd Socks Day is that we should all be allowed to be ourselves, free from bullying, and the event helps us celebrate in a fun and positive way.
During the week, students will learn about the importance of anti-bullying through PSHE lessons, assemblies, and other activities that will be delivered. Students will be actively encouraged to spread kindness at home and at school and together as a Community we will be launching the Give a Gift Campaign again. We aim to pull together, with the overall aim, to help spread a little bit more cheer and positivity at Christmas time.
Because in a world where you can choose to be anything, you must choose to BE KIND.
