Year 13 Visit Gibraltar
Language B Students from Year 13 visited Gibraltar on 20 November as part of the Travel option of their IB English course. The aim of the day was to find out how Gibraltarian culture and lifestyle differed to that of Spain.
Language B Students from Year 13 visited Gibraltar on 20 November as part of the Travel option of their IB English course. The aim of the day was to find out how Gibraltarian culture and lifestyle differed to that of Spain.
Years 2 to 6 have elected a School Council to ensure their opinions are heard. The School Council meet regularly with teachers to discuss new ideas and ways that the school could be made even better, as well as coming up with plans on how to put these into effect. They can be contacted via suggestion boxes around school and are all full of interesting ideas!
Year 13 Visual Arts students directed their version of “Drop Dead Juliet” with the participation of many year groups in Secondary School.
Aloha College Primary School celebrated Halloween by dressing up even more spookily than usual, and Years 5 and 6 enjoyed the party organised for them by Year 13.
Miss Lynn’s class thought about what they wanted to be when they grew up, and how everyone from the different professions can work together.
As part of the college’s policy to support and encourage the wider aspects of education, Aloha is now able to offer pupils the chance of private instrumental tuition. The lessons are taught by specialist music teachers in our purpose-built Secondary School music practice rooms.
Year 5ES collected items of non-perishable food for the organisation Cáritas in Cala de Mijas, to help local families suffering the effects of the recent fires and floods. This was relevant to the work they were doing in the International Primary Curriculum.
Year 2 show their excellent behaviour in following the school rules: in class, at play and at lunch
Miss Lynn’s English group were practising their spoken English saying what they can do.
In September Year 12 students took part in an activity weekend in Cortes de la Frontera, as part of their CAS programme. Students enjoyed a range of activities and challenges which demonstrated how much more we can achieve by working in a team.
