With a gospel of angels, calypso-kings and worried sheep, Aloha College’s Hey Ewe!
Aloha College Key Stage 1 children all took part in the “Mending the Manger” and thrilled parents, many of whom said they had never seen such a professional production by such young children. Standing room only!
In the Creative Writing Competition, Aloha College won three of the six prizes contested (two languages and three categories).
Last Saturday dawned sunny and warm for Aloha College’s Xmas Bazaar. The stalls, all prepared and manned by parents and pupils, did a roaring trade and for the first year there was a Xmas market where parents could have stalls with their own goods.
The sound of computer keys was constant during the First Interschool Creative Writing Event celebrated at Aloha College, with 39 students representing Sotogrande, Swans, Mayfair and Aloha. The talent and enthusiasm of the competitors is well reflected in their short stories – written in English and Spanish. We have a new generation of writers!
Primary and Secondary pupils are taking part in 2 Science competitions – one for the Bill Bryson prize on “How Science keeps us healthy” and the other to write a short story about the Diamond Synchotron science facility. Smashing prizes to be awarded to contestant and school!
Miss Lynn’s class thought about what they wanted to be when they grew up, and how everyone from the different professions can work together.
The Aloha College choir delighted listeners yet again when they sang at the Bel Air Tennis Club on Saturday.
The Aloha College Choir began its Xmas performances last week at the Palacio de Congresos, in aid of Cáritas, and at the Bel Air Tennis Club. Their next performance will be at the school’s Xmas Bazaar on 1 December. A parent whose daughter is new to the choir was most impressed at the quality and “professionalism” of the singing.
