Summer School Activities
The Aloha College Summer School achieved record numbers this year, with children from all over the world enjoying academic, sporting and creative activities between 9.30 and 2. Every Wednesday they went on a trip and every Friday there was a special adventure outing for the intrepid.
Year 13 Graduation Ceremony
Year 13 pupils from AlohaCollege said a final farewell to the school where they had spent many years by throwing their mortar boards into the air. Now all they had to do was await their results and prepare to move to their chosen university.
Year 13 Graduation Prom
Aloha College Year 13 students, relieved at finishing their final exams, enjoyed their Prom at the Hotel Guadalmina. Many were sad to think they would no longer return to school, but were excited about their future, for which they were well-prepared.
Aloha College Speech Day 2013
The Aloha College community marked the end of the 2012/13 school year with an emotional ceremony to celebrate academic, sporting and personal success, with intervals of dance and music. For Year 13’s it was a time to realise that they were about to venture out into the big wide world.
More success for Aloha golfer
Year 9 Aloha College pupil Brian Kelly came first in the Junior World Amateur Championship in Crans Montana, Switzerland, having been invited to join that tournament after his previous win at the La Cala tournament. iTalk Radio Interview
Our Head Girl Elect, Abigail Hignett, visited the iTalk radio station in Estepona on Wednesday 26 June to discuss A-levels and life at Aloha College in general. The interview lasted nearly half an hour, but Abigail gave excellent account of herself and of the school, as usual.
Food Collection in Aid of Cáritas
Years 3 and 4 brought items in June (mainly food) to be donated to Cáritas. The food was delivered by pupils from Years 3 and 4 to Cáritas in La Cala de Mijas on 27 June.
Summer Art Show 2013
This year Aloha College IGCSE and IB Visual Arts students displayed their work in new premises in Camino de Camoján – students and their families, plus visitors from the area, were thrilled at the quality and inspiration of the artists. Camila Vigdal, Rhythmic Gymnastics Spanish championship
Camila Vigdal Crespo and her group of benjamines came 3rd in the Spanish regional championship. In the category of individual she came 4th within Andalucía, which was an excellent achievement as it was better than other competitors who had achieved gold and silver in the recent Andalucían championship. Monday, 24 June … the children in Primary School held their Interhouse Competitions and enjoyed a variety of sports.
