On Wednesday 25 January Aloha sent a team of 50 pupils to Sunland International school in Cartama to compete in the International Schools Cross Country tournament. This is one of the biggest sporting events of the year as it involves children from Year 5-13 and most of the International Schools. Points were awarded to runners who finished in the top 10 of every race and counted up at the end of the day to see the winning school. Aloha performed very well with many runners finishing in the top 10. A special mention must go to Michelle Lundteppen in year 6 who won her race to become champion of the U11 age category and Alessandro Scariolo in year 11 who finished second to win a silver medal in the U15 age category.
At the end of the day when all the points were counted Aloha Finished in 3rd place which is a good achievement considering the amount of schools involved. Well done to all pupils who ran their best.
