Aloha College Marbella celebrates its first charity fashion show
On the evening of May 10, 2023, we hosted our first solidarity fashion show with the aim of raising funds for the trip that students and teachers will make to Uganda in July.
The theme of the show was ‘The Beads of Hope’, a whole school initiative inspired by our ‘outreach project’, which highlights economic hardship in the Third World, whereby the making of paper beads endows underprivileged families with hope for the future and a dignified way of making an income.
The theme also promoted sustainability and had an ecological message in that the jewellery showcased is made entirely from recycled paper.
Many parents, students, teachers and external sponsors attended the gala and enjoyed a wonderful evening in which “our models” shone with their own light, parading clothes by the most prominent designers on the Costa del Sol.
We wanted to thank the designers for providing the outfits, parents’ society for decorations, Andrea – professional model for preparing the students, Lisa Mayne for make up and the big list of contributors that participated in the event and of course the volunteers.
We hope to be able to repeat this wonderful evening very soon and that you enjoy this selection of photos from the fashion show.
