Students and teachers have shown interest and enthusiasm in cricket over the past few months.
As part of our enrichment activities program, our year 5 and 6 students all enjoyed a day out in sunny Cartama as part of the Cricket’s Cool project, run simultaneously with the European Championships held there.
They had coaching in the skills of the game from qualified cricket coaches, met the international players and watched some of the final’s week matches.
They even got themselves broadcast live on TV! A fantastic day out enjoyed by all.
Trips to Cártama to enjoy cricket began last academic year. We were able to verify that our students love this sport while they receive basic classes, learn the rules, and meet professional players in person.
We’ve also incorporated cricket into our co-curricular activities program…it looks like cricket is here to stay!
