Last Friday 13 October, the first game of the season was played. Our mini-category team played against the mini-federated team of CB Marbella. Our players played very well against a very experienced and tough opponent.
The first quarter began with both teams very attentive in attack but with lack of concentration in defence. The first quarter ended 13-14 for CB Marbella.
The second quarter was not fortunate for Aloha and the quarter ended 13-24 for CB Marbella.
The third quarter was the beginning of the comeback. The second unit of Aloha improved a lot in defence and managed to score to reduce the difference. A special mention must be made of Daniel Rébora. Daniel got some very important rebounds for the team besides assisting all the baskets in the quarter. This part ended 19-32 for CB Marbella.
At the fourth quarter Aloha started playing as a great team and communicating in defence. William Flores and Alvaro Olivo scored most of the points of the team, combining in the pressing defense and in the fastbreaks. The match ended with a result of 37 to 38 for CB Marbella.
Despite playing against a federated team with a lot of experience, Aloha made a very serious and competitive match. At the end of the game, we ask ourselves the question of how many points our brand-new shooting guards couple, William & Alvaro will score?
