Year 12 ESS Trip field to Tarifa

The Year 12 Environmental Systems and Societies students had the chance to leave the classroom behind to practice a variety of ecological fieldwork skills in the unique environment of Tarifa. The students were able to study sand dune succession and study plant species diversity, before also monitoring water and air quality by identifying indicator species. The students also learnt about conservation and monitoring of the whale and dolphin species in the Strait of Gibraltar when they visited the conservation charity FIRRM.
