Last week we had a very special guest who was able to explain the connection between flamenco and literature brilliantly. The renowned flamenco singer, Miguel Poveda, came in to do a talk to Spanish First Language students in year 11, 12 and 13 about the importance of literature throughout his career and why he decided to choose the poems of García Lorca in one of his albums.
It was a wonderful experience for students and staff alike. Miguel’s passion for García Lorca was infectious. We left the room in total awe, curious to know more about the famous poet from Granada.
