A marvellous morning of mathematics was enjoyed by both the children and the parents today as we opened our doors for the Primary School´s Maths Open Morning.

Children throughout the school took part in two sessions which were designed to demonstrate all areas of the maths curriculum.

The first calculating session saw children solve a range of problems and completing treasure hunts to show the parents how children in Aloha learn to calculate and how this learning develops as the children progress through the school.

The second session exhibited many other areas of the curriculum such as statistics, measurement, geometry and ratio. There was a fantastic turn out of parents who went away with a better understanding of the teaching and learning of maths in Aloha.
