House Elections, Secondary School

On Friday, October 3rd, students in Years 7 to 10 stood for election as House Representatives of Córdoba, Sevilla and Granada. Each candidate had applied in writing for the position and all applications had to gain the approval of Head of House, Ms Ladds, and the sixth form House Captains. Standing in front of their year group, the candidates then gave speeches about their plans for improving their House´s performance in upcoming House events this year.

House Captains were impressed by the professionalism of all the candidates, who spoke with confidence about their commitment to their house and fellow students. Many had exciting new ideas for activities and events.

Already this term, students have competed in a school quiz for European Languages Day and a range of activities are planned to celebrate United Nations Day on October 24th.  Our newly elected House Representatives will be involved in building and motivating teams for these events and assisting House Captains with the variety of sporting competitions that take place in lunch breaks and at the end of each term.

The successful candidates for this year are pictured below with Mrs Batchelor and Mr Webb. We look forward to their involvement in the exciting events they will be organising in the coming academic year!
