Foundation Stage – Doctors and Police visit Aloha (Sept 2017)

Emergency! Emergency!

As part of our ‘People Who Help Us’ topic in Foundation Stage we some exciting visits from the police and Helicopteros Sanitarios, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. They listened carefully to the importance of the role of police officers and doctors in the community and then it was time to explore! The children were given the opportunity to sit in the police car to see the equipment, hold the special body shields and even press the siren in the police car! When they went inside the ambulance children were eager to try on the bandages, see the stretchers and of course listen to the siren. The excitement carried on throughout the week in the classrooms, with children dressing up and playing in the police and doctors role play areas.
