Thanks for supporting the last charity event of the year. We raised money to help Collective Calling to support children in Tanzania to receive education, something that here we just take for granted. The photo below shows the progress of vegetable plots by the education centre we are supporting. The hope is that within two […]

The support of yesterday’s charity Fundación Aladina (Foundation that provides support to children and adolescents with cancer) brought fun and laughter as staff and pupils paraded in silly hats or funny wigs. Of course, the true meaning of the day was not forgotten as two of our pupils have recently undergone chemotherapy for cancer.
On Monday the 8th April, Primary children from Nursery to Year 6 participated in a Charity Fun Run. Children and Parents from Aloha, supported Chris Knaup, an alumni who ran the London Marathon to raise awareness for “Healthy Minds”, helping people with depression, anxiety or stress. From the sale of second-hand uniforms, Aloha College was delighted to present DEBRA with a cheque for their worthy charity, helping children whose lives are painfully affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a very rare genetic condition in which the skin and internal body linings blister at the slightest knock or rub, causing painful, open wounds.
On Saturday 15 October, a plastic collection was organised at Cabopino beach, an initiative taken by the founder of Plastic Free Seas Worldwide. Especially pleasing was to see how many Y6 students from Aloha College turned up to help! As a consequence, instead of collecting 150 kg of plastic as stipulated, the collection was 350 […]
