School Production

We're excited to update you on our yearly drama production, which is now in full swing. Over the past three weeks, our talented students have been diligently working on the early stages of our school production, which will be staged in February.

During this time, auditions have taken place, and we're proud to announce that we have a group of exceptionally gifted and passionate students who are already working hard to create a fantastic theatrical experience. Their dedication and enthusiasm have been truly inspiring. We can't wait to see their efforts come to fruition in February and share it with everyone.
KS4 - Y10/11 Art Trip To Málaga

On Friday 22 September, our IGCSE Y10 and Y11 Art students had a fantastic time exploring the vibrant art scene in Málaga.

Their first stop was the Contemporary Art Centre, where they admired the striking portraits created by Nigerian Artist Atanda Quadri Adebayo.

Next, they visited The Carmen Thyssen Museum to appreciate more traditional art from painters like Sorolla and 19th-century Spanish artists.

Finally, they explored the Centre Pompidou Málaga, where they encountered a variety of art styles, from Surrealism to Realism and Abstraction, by artists like Andre Derain, Henri Matisse, Billie Zangewa, and Carla Accardi.

During the trip, students sketched and took notes about the artworks, which will be helpful for their coursework research.

It was an enjoyable and educational adventure that left everyone feeling inspired by the world of art.
KS5 - Year 13 Tarifa Trip: September 2023 - A Memorable Experience

Our Year 13 Tarifa trip in September 2023 was a fantastic experience that left a lasting impression. It was all about fun, forging friendships, and gaining new perspectives.
During this trip, our students stepped out of their comfort zones, embracing adventure and each other's company. The challenging activities encouraged teamwork and a sense of camaraderie within the group.

While our students excel in meeting the demands of their IB and A-level courses in their daily school lives, these trips offer a unique opportunity to discover hidden talents and qualities. This experience helps them build the confidence to try new things, which is essential not only for their academic journey but also for personal growth.

Furthermore, these two days of activities and reflection contribute positively to their CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) experience, enriching their overall development.

The Year 13 Tarifa trip will be a cherished memory of their final year at Aloha College. We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who made these two days special.
